A series of animation sketches made as part of my previous skills development and experimentation project, funded by Creative Scotland.

The video includes some of the techniques I will be using and building on in this new project and gives a rough idea of the effects I will be constructing. ​​

 

Like the new project, these sketches use photographs of nature that are practically unedited. They were taken in a different country, in a region of volcanic activity where gases rising from underground colour the minerals and mountains in bright, almost unnatural hues. The video gives an idea of the kind of seemingly unreal landscapes I will be seeking in Scotland and using in this project.
